COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

CONNECT-ELEVATE-CHALLENGE

SIMON FRASER WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Working with SFU Women Basketball Team on SWEAT STANCE™ to connect the Clinic and Court

It was a pleasure working with such a focused and engaged group of female athletes. Being an alumni of the program makes this an extra special community connection.  Lots of memories made in this gym. I look forward to continuing to make more with the next generation.

GRASS ROOTS - EARLY MORNING MOVERS

BROOKSBANK ELEMENTARY

The fundamental movements will be embedded into a variety of sporting themes. Kids will learn to explore control and challenge their movement. Kids will be exposed to a variety of movements: running, jumping, landing, changing directions to name a few. In addition to starting and stopping, balance and body control in a variety of positions.

The goal of these sessions is to expose the children to a variety of age appropriate fundamental movements which are the building blocks for many sports. We will utilize their imaginations, music and self -directed play to help keep it fun and in line with the LTAD model for youth athlete development.

Our first round of EARLY MORNING MOVERS is complete. We had great time working with Brooksbank Grade 1 children exploring movement together. Looking forward to the next round.

In this program all proceeds are donated back the Brooksbank Elementary PAC to help support movement and sport related activities
